Purchased this last week and the rigid spring mechanism is surprisingly satisfying—opens with a firm snap that feels well-engineered. It's sturdy and handles wind better than my old one, so far no regrets.

Freud would've loved how this thing handles a downpour—it's got this quiet aggression that matches the storm. The handle feels solid and the canopy sheds rain like it's got its own agenda.

I was skeptical at first, but this umbrella has a satisfying click when it opens that makes me feel like I'm ready for anything. It's held up perfectly through two heavy downpours without flipping inside out.
