Pohon Syukur

My kids actually fight over whose turn it is to pick the gratitude leaf each evening. Having the tree on our kitchen counter makes the daily habit stick — after three weeks it's covered and we're already ordering more leaves.

The little wooden leaves are the perfect size for a quick sentence, so it takes me maybe ten seconds before bed. I've kept up with it for three weeks now, which is honestly longer than any journal I've tried.

My kids actually fight over who gets to hang the leaf each night, which I didn't expect. The little leaves are sturdy enough that my 4-year-old can write on them without tearing. It's become our dinner ritual and the tree looks fuller every week.
