My kids actually fight over whose turn it is to pick the gratitude leaf each evening. Having the tree on our kitchen counter makes the daily habit stick — after three weeks it's covered and we're already ordering more leaves.

The little wooden leaves are the perfect size for a quick sentence, so it takes me maybe ten seconds before bed. I've kept up with it for three weeks now, which is honestly longer than any journal I've tried.
