Category: Bottle Openers & Corkscrews

The "Dia de los Muertos", or "Day of the Dead" is a holiday celebrated in Mexico to honor the lives of loved ones who have passed, with food and drink. The skeleton is a central image used in decorations for the holiday, and our Day of The Dead corkscrew is inpired by this fantastical and reverent holiday. Designed by Ariel Rojo and Stephanie Suårez for the Kikkerland Mexico Design Challenge, this zinc alloy and stainless steel corkscrew is as whimsical as it is functional.

Abigail ★★★★★

This corkscrew has a nice heft to it that makes opening wine bottles feel effortless. The skeleton design is detailed and festive without being gaudy, perfect for our Día de los Muertos gathering. Works smoothly and looks great on the counter.

The skull handle is nicely weighted and gives a good grip when twisting into a cork. It’s a fun little tool that reminds me of my grandmother’s ofrenda every time I use it to open a bottle of wine for dinner.

Brian ★★★★★

This little skeleton corkscrew is both functional and festive, and the detail on the carved skull face is surprisingly sharp for the price. It twists into corks smoothly and has already become my go-to for opening wine at our dinner parties. Exactly the kind of quirky piece that sparks conversation.
