My daughter is usually glued to a screen but this kept her busy for two hours at the kitchen table. The kit comes with a little tool for pressing leaf and twig textures into the clay, which she loved. Already ordered a second one for her cousin.

We took the clay outside and my son spent a solid hour pressing leaves and little stones into his creatures before painting them. The molds that come in the box are simple enough that my 6-year-old could work them on his own. Cleanup was easier than I feared too.

My daughter dragged this kit into the backyard and spent an entire afternoon shaping little critters with leaves and twigs pressed into the clay. The way it encourages outdoor play while keeping her hands busy is exactly what I hoped for. Watching her proudly line up her creatures on the porch made
