The unfinished wood takes paint really well, and I love that I got to design my own pattern before assembling it. Took me an afternoon to put together and it actually holds tune.

I grabbed this as a gift for my nephew and ended up painting mine first. The unfinished wood takes acrylic paint really well, no sanding needed. Assembly was straightforward and it actually holds tune.

My daughter and I spent a whole rainy afternoon decorating this together and the wood is smooth enough that even she could paint it without splinters. The pieces fit together snugly and it actually holds tune once the strings settle. Now she won't put it down.
