Axolotl Punch Needle

The adjustable bamboo hoop is a nice touch since I could tighten the fabric as I worked instead of fighting with it slipping. Finished my little axolotl in two evenings and it actually looks like the picture.

I was nervous about trying punch needle for the first time, but the instructions were clear and the needle glides through the fabric smoothly. The little tapestry turned out cuter than I expected, and the hoop keeps everything tight while I work.

The adjustable bamboo hoop actually holds the fabric drum-tight, which made my first little axolotl come out way neater than I expected. I finished the whole thing in two evenings on the couch. Already eyeing my next design.
