DIY Log Cabin Bird House

Put this together on my back porch in under ten minutes without digging out a single tool, which was perfect for a rainy Saturday project. The water-resistant finish has held up fine through two storms, and a wren already claimed it and perches on the little dowel every morning.

Snapped the pieces together in about twenty minutes with zero frustration, and the water-resistant finish has already survived two rainstorms. My chickadees have been checking out the perch every morning since I hung it.

The dowel perch is a nice touch, and the whole thing snapped together surprisingly tight without needing any tools. I spent a rainy afternoon on it and the water-resistant roof gives me confidence it’ll hold up through the season.
